Un lundi qui commence en trombe, enfin pour moi. Juste le temps de vous dire que j’ai de jolis projets sur le feu, et j’espère pouvoir vous en parler très très bientôt, et mon petit doigt me dit que ça devrait vous plaire. Youhouuu comment je maintiens le suspens!?!?
D’ici quelques jours, un petit cadeau, enfin c’est aussi un cadeau que je me fais, le blog de BigBeauty se refait une façade, un lifting, un coup de booste. Parce qu’on a toute envie de changer de déco un jour ou l’autre chez soi ou à son bureau, alors pourquoi pas sur son blog. Il y aura d’autres pages, de nouvelles rubriques etc, etc. Je ferai faire un petit tour du propriétaire très vite.
A Monday that begins faster than lightening, well, at least for me! Just a minute to tell you I have tuns of projects coming up, and I can’t wait to tell you girls about it, I’m pretty sure you’re gonna like it very much! Suspense, mouahahah!
In a few days, there will be a little gift for you and also for me, the Big Beauty Blog is going through a total relooking, a lifting, a bit of vitamin C for the new year. Because we all need to change the decoration from time to time, at home or at the office, why not on the blog? There will be more pages, more categories, soon enough, I will give you a tour!
Enfin malgré mon emploi du temps ultra chargé, je prends le temps de vous montrer ma nouvelle veste vintage Givenchy. Sortie du placard matriarcal, cette pièce scintillante se marierait aussi à merveille avec un jean boyfriend, et une paire de boots à talons compensés. C’était d’ailleurs comme cela que j’avais prévu de vous la présenter mais la poste française en a décidé autrement! Et oui en 1 mois la poste a réussi à me “perdre” 6 colis provenant d’Angleterre. Faudra qu’on m’explique quand même comme est-ce qu’ils font pour s’en sortir de pareille manière, perdre/voler un colis, en profiter parce que c’est la période la plus chargée de l’année, c’est fort de café! Je ne vais pas me plaindre parce que j’ai pu me faire rembourser ces colis, mais je l’ai quand même en travers du gosier, moi qui avais profité des soldes UK, j’avais fait un carnage bien sympathique.
No matter the craziness of my schedule, I take some time to show you my new vintage jacket from Givenchy. Coming right out from my mom’s closet, this sparkling jacket could just as well be mixed with a boyfriend jean, and a pair of wedges boots. That’s how I had planned to show it to you but the Mail has decided otherwise! Because, yes, in the span of 1 month, the Post office has manager to loose 6 packages coming from England. Someone has to explain to me how this situation happened, especially because it was Christmas time and this very month, losing/stealing packages is just not an option! I’m not going to complain because I was lucky enough to get refunds for all of those, but it’s really frustrating, I had shopped the UK sales and had made quite a lot of shopping!
J’en reviens à ma veste No Givenchy, eh oui vous l’aurez deviné elle n’est pas griffée haute couture, elle aurait pu pourtant, elle a tous les “codes” d’une Givenchy, je me souviens bien de ces vestes en velour aux manches gigots. Et bien non, je ne vais pas vous faire rêver avec du fake, c’est une vieille marque de je-ne-sais-où mais qui n’enlève rien à la superbe de cette veste. Ca me fait penser à certaines pièces que je vois sur quelques blogs, qui font juste rêver avec leurs marques, Ô Maje, Ô Sandro, Ô Heimstone, Ô si Ô ça. Ni voyez aucunes jalousies dans mes propos, je ne voudrai surtout pas que cela soit mal interprété. Mais finalement avec quoi fait-on rêver? une marque? un style? une attitude? Tiens je pourrai revisiter l’accroche “Le style n’est pas une taille mais une attitude” en “Le style n’est pas une marque mais une attitude“. Ca marche aussi. Vaste sujet de conversation, on pourrait en débattre des heures. Et je ne crache pas sur les pièces de marque, j’avoue que je bave souvent sur des pièces inaccessibles en taille pour mon petit corps “curvy”!
Back to my No Givenchy jacket, because yes, you had guessed right, it’s not haute couture, it could have been a Givenchy, its certainly showing off all the usual fashion codes that I remember very well from a certain trend. But no, I’m not going to let you dream with a fake Givenchy, it’s just a random brand from wherever, but that certainly doesn’t take anything from the gorgeousness of the jacket. That reminds me of some of the brands I can see on lots of blogs Ô Maje, Ô Sandro, Ô Heimstone, Ô this Ô that. No jealousy here, that’s definitely not where I’m going, but in the end, what makes us dream. A brand? A style? An attitude? I could go through my tagline again, instead of “Style is not a size, but an attitude” I could have “Style is not about a brand, but about an attitude”. It works pretty much the same. That’s one pretty wide topic, hours of debate if we begin talking about it. But I never ignore a good piece from a specific brand, I admit I quite often drool on some great pieces which are unavailable in my size, for my curvy body!
Je passais 5 minutes et je vous déballe tout un sujet de reflexion. Allez pour vous faire plaisir, je vous rappelle qu’il y a certaines marques qui pensent aux femmes rondes même estampillé ” young, thin and fashion“, ASOS a lancé vendredi dernier “CURVE“, sa ligne grande taille avec un début prometteur, un peu timide, mais qui va très vite s’étoffer j’en suis certaine!

I was just stopping by for 5 min, and here I am, with a debate! Just for the highlight of the day, may I remind you that some brands are actually thinking of us, plus size women, and even if they have the reputation of being “young thin and fashion”, Asos just debuted their new plus size line, “CURVE” a shy and basic beginning to what will be amazing, obviously!
