Melody Gardot – I’m a Fool

Lorsque j’ai aperçu ce manteau sur le site de Dorothy Perkins, je me suis dit, enfin un modèle original! Ensuite il m’a fallu choisir entre le noir – un peu trop passe-partout, le rose – un peu trop Barbie pour moi, et le lime!

Ni une ni deux, mon coeur a vacillé pour le lime tellement lumineux et différent. Enfin un manteau qui allait me sortir de la grisaille, à lui seul il me donne un coup de soleil même la nuit, c’est dire la puissance de la couleur!

When I saw that coat on the Dorothy Perkins, I thought to myself, what a great and original design! Then I had to choose between black – too easy – and pink – too Barbie for me! – so Lime it was!

I couldn’t resist this gorgeous and luminous color, so different! A coat that would take me out of the grey outside, it’s like getting sunburns at midnight, but all in a good way, power of the color!

Et comme je suis une fille très frou-frouteuse ,vous l’aurez sans doute remarqué, la succession des 3 volants superposés ne m’a pas effrayé une seule seconde! Je ne compte plus le nombre de compliments à son sujet et ce que je trouve drôle c’est qu’en plus il suscite la conversation. ” Ah ouais j’adore mais je ne sais pas si j’oserai” ou ” La coupe ne paraît pas flateuse pourtant ça passe très bien” et ma préférée, la remarque de ma voisine du 7e, une petite mamie “Quand je vois votre manteau j’ai envie d’une Caïpirinha“!

And because I’m a girly girl, as you may have known already, the 3 layers of frou frou didn’t frighten me one bit! I cannot count the number of nice comments I’ve gotten wearing this coat, and the chatting it creates as well! “Ah, I love it but I don’t think I would have dared to wear it!” or “the cut is not very flattering on paper, but it actually looks amazing!” and my favorite one, my neighbor from the 7th floor, a little old grand ma, “when I see your coat, I want a Caipirinha!”

Dans la lignée, Dorothy Perkins a fait un cardigan de la même couleur, parfait pour réveiller le gris de ma robe Torrid avec ses gaufrettes verticales. Encore une addiction en vue, les minis frous-frous. Torrid propose plusieurs modèles gaufrés, ce qui me retient, outres le risque important de douane et ses 47% de taxe, ce sont les manches débardeurs, mais bon sang, c’est l’hiver!!

Le bas de mon robe me fait penser aux tenues que portaient ces homme-cygnes dans “SWAN LAKE” la version revisitée de Tchaïkovski. Encore plus jolie en mouvement, la jupe est comme une anémone animée.

Following the Dorothy Perkins trend, a cardigan in the same tone, perfect to give a boost to my grey dress from Torrid with its vertical “wafers” effects. Another future addiction in sight, Torrid offers a wide range of clothes with this “wafers details”, even if the short sleeves and the shipping fees stop me from buying anything! It’s still Winter!!

The bottom of the dress reminds of the details you can find on the costumes from Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake a re-visited version of the Tchaikovski ballet. Even more beautiful when its moving, the skirt is like a living flower.

Transie de froid, j’ai trouvé refuge dans un parking sous-terrain, le seul endroit où il est possible de retirer mon manteau et ma vieille toque pour vous montrer ma tenue du jour. J’ai testé un shooting dehors hier, et j’en ai encore le squelette congelé, à découvrir d’ici quelques jours sur mon blog, vous allez rire! Décidemment blogueuse de l’extrême c’est pas mon truc.

It was freezing so I kind of hid in an underground parking, which was the only place around warm enough to show you my outfit under the coat. I tried shooting pictures outside the other day, I think my skeleton is still frozen from this, you’ll discover that on the blog in a few dats. Blogger of the extreme, not my thing!
