Here we go, let me show you a few pictures of my trip to Morocco, of course I was going to share all of this with you.
It was my first trip to Marrakesh, and it’s the 3rd city I visited in Morocco. I was really transported by Marrakesh and it was a nice change of scene, I stayed there for 5 days. This city did me a world of good, I fell in love with it.
For this first part, let me take you to the Majorelle Garden, an unmissable place if you ever visit Marrakesh, a haven of peace, a green oasis of beauty that took my breath away.
The garden was created by Jacques Majorelle in 1924, it wouldn’t be until later, in 1980, that Yves Saint Laurent would buy it to make this place durable. Today it belongs to the Pierre Bergé Foundation and it’s still open to the public.
I recommend you get a ticket to the Berber Museum that’s in the center of the garden, it’s incredibly beautiful.
I went there in the morning, right after the opening. I was thus able to enjoy the tranquillity of the place with my son. Even if he was running around everywhere,it’s a perfectly suited and accessible place for a little boy his age because the path was entirely secured.
What can I tell you about this garden except that all the plants there are huge. You can find some of them in France, in pots, but they are maybe 10-15 inches tall, whereas in Morocco there are yards of them. The omnipresence of the majorelle blue makes the green pop and transport you into a wonderful world. It’s soothing and relaxing.
Right behind the museum, I rested for a while in the courtyard of the Bousafsaf Café to enjoy an almond and orange blossom milk. Unforgettable.
The weather was very good during my stay, over 86°F everyday, it was summer, hence my very light outfits. I’m still sharing with you what I was wearing on that day, even if in Paris fall is definitely here.
I hope these few pictures will make you travel and will light up your day just like they have lit up my week in Morocco.
Have a good visit !
