Je vous retrouve pour ce premier billet de l’année au bord de la fontaine Jean Tinguely à Fribourg, à moitié prise sous la glace, cette machine animée pendant la belle période, devrait rappeler quelque chose à plus d’un j’en suis certaine.
En effet l’artiste fribourgeois Jean Tinguely a signé ,avec sa compagne Nikki de Saint Phalle, la fontaine Stravinsky à Beaubourg. Cette fontaine érigée en 1983 est une commande de la ville de Paris à l’artiste fribourgeois. Lorsqu’elle était encore animée, la fontaine représentait la musique et l’activité de la musique de Stravinsky, hélas aujourd’hui, la plupart des machines de Tinguely sont inertes, et ne produisent plus aucuns bruits, elles sont si complexes que seul Seppi le fidèle assistant savait les remettre en marche. Une rénovation en 2008 devait pourtant remettre de la vie dans cette création, on attend toujours.
Here is my first post of the year, next to the Jean Tinguely fountain in Fribourg, half frozen in time with ice, this animated machine warmer day will remind something to some of you.
Jean Tinguely was from Fribourg, and with his partner, Nikki de Saint Phalle, they created the Stravinsky fountain in Beaubourg. This fountain which was created in 1983, was commisionned by the city of Paris to the artist. When it was still moving, the fountain was a metaphor for music and the activity of music realted to Stravinsky. Sadly enough, most of the Tinguely’s machines stand now still and don’t make any sounds any more, they were so complex that only Seppi, Tinguely’s fellow assistant, knew how to keep them working. A renovation was planned in 2008 but so far, it hasn’t brought back to life this gorgeous piece of art!
Je rebondis sur Stravinsky pour vous parler du film « Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky » que j’ai vu dès sa sortie en salle. Passionnée par Coco depuis des lustres je ne pouvais manquer ça.
Hélas je n’ai pas été séduite par ce film. Comment peut-on parler de Chanel sans parler de la mode? Le film se concentre sur la passion entre Coco et Igor et basta, la création du No5 passe quasi inaperçu, les années folles passées sous silence ( à part une cavalcade sur le piano d’Igor, une Coco à califourchon). Anna Mouglalis défile plus qu’elle ne marche, son interprétation de Coco est trop dur, sûrement mal dirigée par Yann Kounen. Bref les amoureux de la mode Chanel vous allez être déçus tout comme moi, enfin la longueur du film nous permet tout de même d’admirer quelques sublimes tenues noires et blanches.
And also, let’s stay in the artistic department, to tell you about the movie « Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky » that I saw right when it was released. As a huge Coco Chanel fan, I couldn’t miss this!
Sadly, I haven’t been convinced by the movie, how is it possible to talk about Chanel without talking about fashion? The movie only focuses on the passion between Coco and Igor… and basta. The creation of N°5 is just secondary, the historic background is completely forgotten. Anna Mouglalis is more a model catwalking than an actess walking, her interpretation of Coco is too hard, certainly badly directed by Yann Kounen. In the end, the fanatics of Chanel’s fashion will be disappointed, just like me, even if the length of the movie allow us to see a bunch of great typical outfits.
