J’avoue j’ai horreur des tenues « grand froid » quand il faut sortir l’artillerie lourde pour s’habiller je galère toujours, beaucoup moins à l’aise avec les gros pulls qu’avec les petits tops à paillettes, pour moi un pull c’est vite triste.
Alors quand je craque sur une pièce il faut qu’elle soit particulière. J’ai quelques pièces de chez Marie Mélodie en cachemire et laine que j’aime beaucoup parce que justement elles ont la petite touche en plus.
Là, figurez-vous que ce pull je l’avais complétement zappé, il était bien oublié au fond de mon placard depuis presque 3 ans.
I have to admit, I kinda hate the « super winter » outfit where you have to get all the heavy massive clothes out of the closet and for me it’s quite a pain, I can never find what I want, and it’s a fact I do prefer sequins tops compared to heave woolen sweater which get sad and depressing quite fast!
So when I do buy a strong winter piece, it has to be something special. I do have some clothes from Marie Mélodie, cashmere and wool, that I really like, because they have this extra touch especially made for the fashionista in us.
And this sweater is a perfect example of a forgotten piece at the end of the closet, it’s been here for 3 years!
Hors ce week-end je me suis rendue à Köln (Cologne en Allemagne), et pour affronter les marchés de Noël il me fallait avoir une tenue adequate, bien chaude et agréable. Ni une ni deux j’ai dégainé mon pull acheté chez Marina Rinaldi il y a quelques années en Italie.
Ce pull je l’aime parce que déjà il est bien chaud (cachemire et laine) mais parce qu’il original dans son « classissime ». Entre le changement de mailles sur les bras et le col amovible, il a la petite touche en plus. Associé à cette jupe en cuir vintage, voilà un mélange de matière comme je les aiment, je tiens une tenue grand froid (il ne me manque plus que les boots poilues).
Pour reveiller le tout, un collier « Les Vanités » , souvenez-vous de cette créatrice sur laquelle j’avais déjà craqué avec un collier pompom en cuir noir, vu ici, voici ma seconde adoption, un mélange de maillons plats et de cuir tressé. Je ne peux déjà plus m’en passer.
This week end I went to Köln (Cologne, in Germany) and to enjoy the Christmas markets, I needed a warm and comfy outfit. I didn’t think twice, and wore that sweater from Marina Rinaldi, that I bought a few years back in Italy.
This sweater is pretty amazing because it’s warm (cashmere and wool) but it’s also original even in its classic cut. Between the change of patterns on the arms and the removable neck, it’s the extra touch. Mixed with this vintage skirt, here is a mix of materials just like I love, and a winter outfit ready to face the cold weather (Im just missing the furry boots here!)
To give an extra boost to the outfit, I’m wearing the « Les Vanités » necklace. Remember that jewellery creator I mentionned in a previous post (the leather necklace here) , here is a second piece I adopted right away, and I can’t have enough of it!
Un mot sur l’Allemagne, un pays de Goliath dans tous les sens du terme, entre la nourriture et les statures bien différentes de chez nous, ils ne font pas semblant. Les hommes et les femmes sont majoritairement plus grands, plus forts, les grandes tailles sont dans la « normalité ». Je n’ai pas trop eut le temps de fouiner dans les boutiques, bien que la mode ne soit pas une spécialité locale, vraisemblablement il y est plus aisé de trouver une taille 50.
Je peux vous recommander cette ville au moment des fêtes, les marchés de Noël y sont très chaleureux, on en reçoit plein les narines, plein les yeux, une fois la nuit tombée, balladez-vous au bord du Rhin les lumières scintillent sur les eaux, c’est magique.
A word on Germany, it’s a Goliath country in every ways, between the food and the different human body shapes, it’s very different from here. Men and women are taller, and have a bit more « meat » than here, plus sizes are part of the normal thing. I didn’t have time to wander around and look at the shops, and even if fashion is not « the » thing where I was, it was obviously easier to find a size 50 over there.
I can only recommend this city during the Christmas time, with all the markets, it’s a very cosy place to be, and very nice, so many smells and gorgeous things to see, when the night comes in, you can wander along the river and the lights sparkle on the water, it’s magical!!
Avant de vous quitter, un dernier mot sur la récompense que j’ai reçu hier soir lors de la soirée Elle-Wikio. Le blog de BigBeauty a reçu le prix « Coup de coeur » de la rédaction du Elle dans la catégorie mode. Un prix qui m’a fait très chaud au coeur et surtout ému pour tout ce qu’il représente. Certes j’entre dans le classement Elle-Wikio à la place no 18 sur 20, catégorie mode. On peut dire ce qu’on veut sur ces classements, les tensions que cela peut créer etc etc, mais je suis sacrément fière d’y entrer, et ce par la grande porte.
Cette année, Elle innove, outre le classement Wikio, Elle et Elle.fr ont décerné 11″Coup de coeurs » . Et dans la catégorie mode cette année, 2 coups de coeur, le blog de Shushi&Pédro et le blog de BigBeauty.
Parce que peut-être, enfin, on peut espèrer ne plus être les oubliées de la mode…
Before I leave, a word on the prize I received yesterday at the Elle-Wikio evening. My blog received the prize in the fashion category, from the ELLE team. It really warms my little heart and I’m quite emotionnal because it means a lot. Im now 18 on the 20′ blogs listed in this event, and no matter what you can say on this kind of lists, the tensions it can create between the people, Im still very proud of it and using a big door to get in there!
This year, top of that, ELLE made it a bit different, except from the the usual list, I was part of some extra blogs highlights and in the fashion category the two winners were Shushi&Pédro and my blog.
Maybe, maybe, it means that we’re not the forgotten kids of fashion anymore…
