MANON BAPTISTE

With this cold, I took refuge inside to shoot a few outfits.

Today, let me share with you a lovely dress by a designer I like very much, Manon Baptiste.

These pieces are available on the Navabi website, incidentally that is where I found them.

I particularly like this dress with its plumetis tulle yoke that uncovers the shoulders and the arms.

On that day, I was wearing my big Oliver Jung coat to keep me nice and warm.

A nice hat and ankle boots for a folk look.

A word about the hat, many of you have asked me if it was still available.

This version, which was made for the 100th anniversary of Filippo Cartazi, is not. But good news, Asos has recently re-stocked an identical piece. I’ve put the link down below the pictures as ususal (plus, it’s on sale at €30 and a bit, but shhh, you did not hear it from me)

Have a good day !

ps: Thanks to ShowroomM for welcoming me and letting me shoot a few pictures in their showroom in the center of the Marais. And thanks to Tode, my friend, agent and photographer.

COLOR RICHE COLLECTION EXCLUSIVE L’ORÉAL PARIS

Lipstick is kind of my signature in each outfit here on the blog.

Even if I have already made you a recap of the lipsticks I wear on a regular basis (right here), today I want to talk to you about my latest cases of love at first sight.

A few weeks ago, and thanks to L’Oréal Paris, I found out about the Color Riche exclusive collection. A collection of mat lipsticks.

At first I thought “hmmm, mat, we’ll see”, I only swear by my Ruby Woo by MAC.

One morning, I try the Color Riche exclusive collection by Doutzen. And then, bam ! My heart is racing, it’s perfect. Orange red, as I like it.

The following night, I decided to try Inès, then Leila and Frieda. They’re all amazing !!

Super mat, super moisturizing, long-lasting color, I simply had to recommend this great lipstick by L’Oréal Paris.

And cherry on top of the sundae, I wanna say pompom on top of the sailor hat, when you buy a tube of lipstick for €13,50 (you’ll notice the small price), €2 are donated to the Cé Ke du Bonheur association which helps children in the hospitals.

So, did I won you over ?

BALSAMIK #2

I’m sustaining the momentum with BALSAMIK.

Many of you were pleasantly surprised, and know that the brand has paid close attention to your comments and observations.

Today, let me share with you a new outfit I put together using pieces by BALSAMIK.

I first fell for these super cute polka dot pants. I had the option to choose between 2 hip width, and I have to admit it’s very convenient.

I matched these cute pants with an absolutely perfect loose blouse with a shawl collar and a wrap-over cleavage. It’s so crazy perfect that I’m considering ordering more in several colors. However be careful, I had the good intuition to order it in (french) size 52 even if I’m a 50, this piece has a tendency to run slightly small.

I didn’t particularly want to add color to my outfit and wanted to stay on something sober and rather minimalist. And I realized I didn’t have a little black coat, simple but well cut.

And the coat I chose is exactly what I needed. In the end I didn’t have a piece like that in my closet because this kind of coat often gape at chest level or completely squash my breasts. With BALSAMIK, I solved this problem by choosing the depth of the breasts. Once again, bingo !

Obviously, BALSAMIK have more than one surprise up their sleeve and I appreciate greatly their tricks adapted to every morphology.

What about you, have you had the chance to try the brand since my first post about it ?

What do you think ?

HOTEL MURANO RESORT MARRAKECH

I needed a little break, right now I have my head to the grindstone for several in order to achieve several projects, and sorting my Marrakesh pictures out did me a lot of good.

After my pictures of Marrakesh city here and those of the Majorelle Garden here, I’m now sharing with you those of the hotel I stayed in.

If I choose to talk about it here, it’s because it completely fulfilled my expectations. I thought that maybe you could use a good hotel address in Marrakesh.

I spent 7 nights in the Murano Resort, an hotel located in the Marrakesh’s palm grove. You might need to know that you have to take a taxi to reach downtown, but it’s not much of a problem since the hotel provides you with a shuttle with a driver for €10. And most of the hotels in the palm grove do the same (Club Med, Deux Tours, etc.)

The Murano Resort is rather contemporary but really marked by oriental codes, I really loved this style, very “new Marrakesh”.

When I booked my stay in Marrakesh, my main goal was to rest, enjoy the sun and take my mind off things.

I told the hotel that I was travelling with a 22 months-old baby and they put the perfect place at our disposal. That is to say a private villa with its own pool in front of the terrace. I could not have hoped for better. While my son Lino was taking his naps, I was able to enjoy the pool and sleep in the sun. It was the first time I was able to do that since his birth, so I might as well tell you that I savored every bit of these moments.

The hotel has 4 villas available spread in a huge garden in the palm grove. The palm trees that are in it are sacred, when one builds something there it’s forbidden to touch them. Which creates perfectly integrated in nature housing. It’s gorgeous and very clever.

I had not taken the board in the hotel, just breakfasts, so I would be free to go and eat in the different restaurants that the city has to offer. Nevertheless I ate in the hotel a few times and the dishes were really delicious.

Since the hotel is huge and well equipped, the villas are all hidden and it’s very easy to isolate yourself and really enjoy the peace and quiet. As you’ve probably guessed by now, it’s a haven of peace, even with a little family.

Pool wise, there are 5 in total, no wading pools but my son had a great time in the big pool thanks to the large steps that served as a shallow pool. The main pool is red, well the tiling in it is, it’s a bit unsettling at first.

I leave you with a few pictures that will hopefully make you want to stay there. To book a stay, I recommend the website hotels.com, that’s where I found the best prices.

A last digression and then I’m off to bed, I’m really pale in the pictures : the day before our departure I put my back out. I was injected with some morphine derivative directly into the back, which allowed me to take my plane the day after. In the mean time I was pretty… ugly.

Now go and take a big dose of palm trees and sunshine.

PEAU LAINÉE

After my little sheepskin coat last year, I was desperately looking for a black version this season.

And bam ! My heart went boom for this sheepskin-like coat. It’s exactly what I was looking for, warm, wide, comfortable, and frankly as chic as rock’n’roll. This little coat I found at Oliver Jung is just what I needed.

KAKI MARINE

Here is my darling khaki sweater from last Monday again, I told you about a new color match that I love, and there it is.

I think I’ve seen it in Italy. To me, Italians are the champions of fancy associations like this one. In big cities like Rome, Venice or Turin, the mastery of the associations is perfect to my eyes.

You’ve already seen the big COS vest over a little dress. It’s making a comeback over my soft mohair sweater.

I don’t own any share of COS believe me, but I’m literally melting for their style, if I could only dress in their clothes it would suit me perfectly. Come on COS, don’t you wanna embark on a PlusSize collection ?

The sunglasses I’m wearing remind me of Anouk Aimé, you know this gorgeous actress who did a lot of films with italian directors. Including the famous Dolce Vita, I think she holds the film together. Anyway that’s another topic but when I saw these Karl Lagerfeld sunglasses I immediately thought of her.

I took a picture of the frame with a little more light because it’s beautiful, these shades of khaki green and blue, perfect for my outfit, don’t you think ?

These sunglasses are available at Optic2000. Karl Lagerfeld designs really good and inspired collections, for about €150, I’m impressed.

A last word to talk about my boots, I’ve discovered the Geox rain range. Would you believe that I could jump into puddles while keeping my feet dry. Plus, they’re way more gorgeous than a pair of rain boots, right ?

MINI CHOSES #1

It’s a big first, my son Lino is making his entrance on the blog.

Don’t panic, I’m not going to become a children and mommies blog, but since the love of my life is closely standing alongside with my professional world, I find it natural after all that he could be able to appear in it from time to time.

For this first appearance, I felt like talking about nice, made in France products.

The pajamas Lino is wearing come from a collection imagined by 5 dads that were fed up with getting always lumbered with Cars or Mickey Mouse on their children’s pajamas. They then created Just Pyjama, cotton pajamas, made in France, at soft prices. The idea is also to mix the pajama tops and bottoms and with each match recreate a different set of pajamas.

I fully agree with this concept. Additionally, each set of pajamas comes with its own free gift wrapping, all for less than €15. Cool dads, huh ?

On his feet, leather moccasins created by a young mom in partnership with a podiatrist.

Lino uses this pair inside but they can also be used outside when the weather is dry. I love the fringe in the back, the elastic is super convenient to slip them on the feet of a wriggling little boy. I just felt like buying everything on the e-shop, these shoes/slippers are so convenient.

I took advantage of the situation to take a few pictures of Lino while he was playing, jumping on his bear and riding across the living-room on his racing car ! It rocked !

Welcome my little icing sugar ♡

A LA PHARRELL

Why “à la Pharell” ? Simply because of the hat that reminded me of Vivienne Westwood’s creation that Pharell wears. An excessive hat.

Outfit wise, I’m in love with this khaki mohair sweater from COS, I wear it with everything. I’ve been planning another color match that I will show you very soon.

My little gray coat you’ve already seen at the beginning of the season, and these 7/8 pants from Kiabi’s limited edition collection. A trendier collection, less silkscreen printing, a carefulness about the fabrics, and still small prices. Long story short, if you’re looking for little black pants, run to the nearest Kiabi.

To give them a touch of fun, I wore my Pas Chassé lurex socks. I recommend this website for their nice creations of socks, what’s good is that the fabric isn’t too thick, which counts if you have chubby feet.

On my arm, I took back out my Givenchy, exactly in the shades of khaki I have a fondness for this winter. We’ll get along just fine him and me this season.

I’ll leave you with some pictures, the links are below the pictures as usual.

Have a good beginning of the week !

POISON IVY (REDUCTION INSIDE)

Empire green, imperial green, I looked up the name of this green in a Pantone in order to give it a pretty name. At least as lovely as the outfit I’m wearing today.

I love this mix, I’ve never been scared of some glitter during the day, but it’s the first time I’m trying green sequins. And it’s beautiful, it’s dark, almost sober.

Of course I toned it down with the rest of the outfit. A big matching coat and a black sweater.

Even the shoes, which by the way are super comfy (I’m telling you), are quickly going to become essential this winter.

All of these beauties come from Dorothy Perkins’ and, like last month, sweet Dorothy is giving a treat to my readers because she knows you love her very much.

And beware, it’s crazy : 30% off on the entire Dorothy Perkins‘ website + free shipping, using the code exclusively reserved for you readers of this blog : LBDBBXDP30

I still want to introduce you to my little newbie. My Trunk’s twin brother, new Trunk and its metallic sides. My Gold Sand Marni is going to be able to take a little break, a little time for him to freshen up.
